Antecedents of media strategic orientation in the Federation of Blind and Visually Impaired Sports

Abstract
The purpose of this research was the antecedents of strategic media orientation in the Federation of Blind and Visually Impaired Sports. A qualitative research with a systematic exploratory approach was chosen. The statistical population of the research includes sports management professors (at least two researches in the field of strategic planning, experience of teaching strategic plan courses, experience of conducting strategic plans for sports federations), sports media professors (conducting at least two researches in the field of the current research), federation presidents The blind and partially sighted were the heads of the provincial boards (5 years of management experience and with master's and doctoral degrees). The number of these people was approximately 69. The statistical sample was selected based on reaching theoretical saturation (20 people). The research tools included a systematic library study and an exploratory (semi-structured) interview. The validity of the tool was evaluated and confirmed based on the validity of the sample, the opinion of experts, and the agreement between the correctors. In order to analyze the findings, a multi-stage conceptual coding method with a systemic analysis approach was used. Based on the extracted conceptual framework, 6 overarching themes, 6 organizing themes and 29 basic themes were obtained. The media strategic direction of the Federation of Blind and Visually Impaired Sports, the need to implement and strengthen prerequisites such as infrastructure (hardware and software), economic (budget and livelihood of athletes), human resources (Federation and athletes), the nature of sports, planning and macro factors. By implementing the mentioned factors, it can be expected that the Federation of Blind and Visually Impaired Sports will be successful in line with its media strategies.
